Locating yourself on map
For locating yourself on the map, your device should have a GPS receiver, and the Internet connection is not required. After you've started the application, click the GPS button on the toolbar at the window bottom.
You will be able to see your position on the map if at least four satellites are available. The number of satellites available and signal quality are displayed in the Satellites window.
You can disable other users from tracking your route. For this select the Invisible option in the GPS tab of the Settings window.
You can locate your position manually. For this open the menu on the spot of the map where you are located by long-tap and select the item I'm here.
Adding other Gippos users to contact list
You can add users to your contact list when your device is connected to the Internet.
Click the search button below the contact list or select the Find users menu item. In the opened window specify the search criteria and click Search.
To view a user profile click his or her name in the list of found users.
To add a user from the list of found users click the 
button next to the user name. After this the user appears in your contact list. If this user made his relocation visible for all, you'll be able to see him on the map.
Locating other users on map
You can locate those users from your contact list who didn’t hide their position. Their names in the contact list are marked with
the 
icon.
To see a user on your map, click this icon next to the user name or select the Position item in the user menu.
Messaging
You can exchange messages with Gippos users from your contact list.
Gippos uses jabber protocol for messaging since 1.9.0 version, so you can also exchange messages with users of other jabber servers. For this select Add jabber user in the contact list drop-down menu.
User profile
For specifying your personal information in your profile, select the Settings menu item and click the Profile tab.
Your profile will be available for other users.
You can change your Gippos account password on the Profile tab.
You can upload avatar image on the Profile tab.
